Perforce to Demo Git at Scale Solution at Jenkins World
Helix4Git delivers faster builds and provides visibility across thousands of Git repositories
San Francisco, CA - August 29, 2017- Perforce Software, a provider of solutions to DevOps teams requiring massive scale, visibility and security along the development lifecycle, is set to showcase their newest development platform addition, Helix4Git, at Jenkins World 2017. The solution increases the scale and visibility of large Git environments with continuous build, integrate and test processes, mirroring and a single source of truth across multiple Git repos.
Scheduled to present their platform solution at the Jenkins World Developer Tech Talk, Perforce Software’s Senior Integration Engineer, Paul Allen, will explore how Helix4Git works with the Jenkins ‘p4-plugin’ for greater continuous integration efficiency in the enterprise.
"At Jenkins World 2016, I really enjoyed talking with Paul about how better to integrate Perforce and Jenkins. I'm not only very excited to see what Perforce has built, but I'm also excited to welcome Paul and his colleagues back to Jenkins World 2017, " said Kohsuke Kawaguchi, CTO of CloudBees and founder of the Jenkins project
Prior to working at Perforce, Allen worked extensively in DevOps across numerous industries, including embedded systems, automotive, and infotainment. Allen holds more than a decade of software expertise.
“Git teams that are looking for a mono repo approach to their builds, or those already using Perforce Helix - many of them intend to version Git repos along with source code and binary assets, ” Allen says. “It can be done simply with Helix, in a single sync, mapping everything you need to your Jenkins Workspace.”
Perforce is a long-time Jenkins World sponsor and supporter of the open-source community that leverages the Jenkins CI/CD tool, enabling rapid release cycles and agile product development.
