ANAM - A2P Messaging Provider - Announce New Asia CEO Appointment

‘Industry figures on the global A2P SMS market indicate Asia will see its most lucrative growth between 2017-2021’ – Conor Devine, Anam Asia, CEO

Anam Technologies, the fastest growing independent Application 2 Person (A2P) SMS Monetisation service provider in the world, filtering billions of messages for Mobile Operators in over 60 countries, has announced the appointment of Conor Devine, CEO for Anam Asia Sdn Bhd, as the company targets further Global growth opportunities.

Devine moves to head up the Anam Asia operation based out of Kuala Lumpur from a senior position with the Commercial team in Dublin developing relationships with Mobile Telecoms Operators and channel partners across the EMEA region and with a particular focus on Africa as Regional Director for the region. Conor was also heavily involved in ensuring Anam’s successful hosting of the GSMA WAS meeting in Dublin last November, an event which attracted 1200 delegates from the international mobile community. Prior to joining Anam, Mr. Devine worked with Kellysan where he was involved in developing many early stage b2b opportunities across a variety of sectors and markets including India and several African territories.

Welcoming Conor Devine's arrival in Kuala Lumpur, Tan Sri Razali, Chairman of Anam Asia, commented: “Asia holds huge potential for Anam who have already built a strong client presence in the region, including in the major commercial hubs of Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Hanoi, Bangkok and Myanmar.”

Anam CEO Dr. Noel Kelly, said: “The appointment gives a major boost to Anam’s proud legacy as a global pioneer in the monetization of A2P SMS messaging. I have worked with Conor over the past 10 years and believe his tremendous commitment and drive provides the ideal platform for the development of relationships with key global Telecoms Operators in the region. I am confident that this appointment will fuel further growth of our business in Asia."

Conor Devine, Anam Asia CEO, said: "We are witnessing a transformation in the A2P SMS industry where sustained revenue, not short term growth, is driving decisions and Anam's portfolio is set up to address this demand. Industry figures on the global A2P SMS market indicate Asia will see its most lucrative growth between 2017-2021 in terms of volume and revenues. Against this backdrop my new role in Anam Asia is an exciting & challenging opportunity.”

Ireland already has a strong and growing presence in Asia, evidenced by recent high profile Enterprise Ireland and IDA trade delegations to the region, including one to Vietnam led by President Michael D Higgins in November who witnessed the signing of an Anam Ericsson support contract during the visit. Among Devine’s first engagements as Anam Asia CEO were a number of St. Patricks Day events in Asia including business networking events in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur attended by the Irish Finance Minister Michael Noonan, TD & organised by Enterprise Ireland. This week Mr. Devine attended Telecom World Asia event in Bangkok and next week will be leading a 7 strong Anam team into China to meet with the international divisions of hundreds of Operators at the GSMA WAS#5 event in Macau from 27 - 30 March.
