Fusion EMM now combines mobile and fixed device management into a single product

Leading software developer VXL Software has launched the latest version of its device- management suite, Fusion EMM, which can now manage not only mobile devices but also desktop and laptop PCs, servers and network-connected devices.

VXL Software has released the latest version of its market-leading device-management suite, Fusion EMM. Previously aimed solely at mobile devices, Fusion EMM now incorporates the key functionality of its sister product, Fusion UDM Premium – including the ability to manage PCs, servers and network-connected devices.

According to VXL’s VP of worldwide sales, Frank Noon, this not only makes life easier for customers, it also significantly reduces costs. “The latest Fusion EMM is really two products in one, ” says Noon, “mobile-device manager and fixed-device manager. Previously, this required two servers – with two sets of server licensing costs. Building the desktop-management capabilities of Fusion UDM Premium into Fusion EMM halves those costs, because only one server is needed.”

Fusion EMM can manage devices running VXL Linux, Windows 7 and 10 Professional, Windows Embedded 7, 8 and 10 IoT, Windows Mobile, Windows POS, Android, iOS and MacOS – all from a single console.

“Device management and support are vastly simplified, ” says Noon. “The reality of today’s computing infrastructure is organisations use multiple devices – both mobile and fixed. Fusion EMM enables IT teams to manage all of them using one tool.”

Fusion EMM boasts a comprehensive feature set, including agentless discovery; application, browser, device, e-mail and content management; inventory, kiosk mode security; monitoring and analytics; organisational unit/group management; comprehensive security management – and much more.

VXL Software’s goal is to provide powerful device management at a very affordable price. “I’d say that our previous product was the best priced on the market, ” says Noon, “but the new combination of mobile and fixed device management, without any increase in price – and massively reduced total cost of ownership – makes it unbeatable.”

Fusion EMM is available now.

Organisations wishing to try Fusion EMM can do so free, by downloading an evaluation copy from VXL Software’s website: http://www.vxlsoftware.com/evaluation

VXL Software is exhibiting at Mobile World Congress, in Barcelona, between 27 February–2 March, on stand 7M59 in hall 7 – where people can chat about lowering the cost of device management.
