Tenable Network Security has released Nessus version 3.2 for general availability. Tenable's Nessus vulnerability scanner, is the world-leader in active scanners, featuring high speed discovery, configuration auditing, asset profiling, sensitive data discovery and vulnerability analysis of your security posture.

With the release of Tenable's Nessus 3.2, Nessus users will gain access to many new features that extend its enterprise usefulness in conducting security and compliance auditing:
- Support for IPv6 security auditing;
- Improved control of network bandwidth usage during scanning;
- Granular access control rules to limit users to specific ports and audits;
- Extended Nessus Server capability to query remote Microsoft Windows systems with native support of the Windows Management Instrumentation protocol (WMI).

In addition, Tenable has various ways for individuals and organizations to manage Nessus. For larger networks, Tenable's Security Center provides continuous, asset-based security and compliance monitoring and reporting. Both the Nessus Client and the Security Center also have support for a unified configuration, target and results format.
