Logicalis Recognised In 2006 Channel Network Awards

Logicalis has been recognised for its cutting edge technology implementations at the 2006 Channel Network Awards. The Integrated Security Solution Award was presented to Logicalis for its work with Lewisham Primary Care Trust in delivering the first biometric security solution to a PCT in the UK.

The award was handed to Logicalis for its design and implementation of a state-of-the-art, three-tier security solution, combining electronic single sign-on, password management and biometric fingerprint authentication at Lewisham's Children and Young Person's Centre.

The Channel Network Awards judging panel recognised that the solution, implemented by Logicalis, in conjunction with Lambeth Southwark & Lewisham Shared ICT Services, ensured absolute patient confidentiality and safety for individual users, while simultaneously enabling more efficient collaboration between departments, to make patients treatment as painless and efficient as possible.

As a result of Logicalis' implementation, 3.500 staff working with the trust now have secure access to confidential shared files using fingerprint technology, to enable faster, more efficient and better overall patient care.

The Channel Network Awards' recognition of Logicalis' strength in the security sector follows a string of other accolades received by the company this year. In February the Logicalis was named Cisco Gold Partner of the Year, and Cisco Services Partner of the Year at the Cisco Partner Summit while in June it was awarded the BT partner solution of the year award.
