Mocana Joins Wi-Fi Alliance and WiMAX Forum

Mocana announceы its membership in the Wi-Fi Alliance and the WiMAX Forum. Joining these organizations will enable Mocana to contribute to the development of industry standards and programs that will provide greater levels of security for wireless networks and services all the way to edge devices.

The Wi-Fi Alliance is a global, non-profit industry association of more than 275 member companies devoted to promoting the growth of wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs). Its testing and certification programs ensure the interoperability of WLAN products based on the IEEE 802.11 specification.

The WiMAX Forum is an industry-led, non-profit corporation formed to help promote and certify the compatibility and interoperability of broadband wireless products using the IEEE 802.16 and ETSI HiperMAN wireless MAN specifications. The forum's goal is to accelerate the introduction of these devices into the marketplace.

Mocana develops a comprehensive Device Security Framework that includes the following components which are available individually or as a bundle: Embedded IPsec / IKE, Embedded SSL / TLS Server, Embedded SSL / TLS Client, Embedded SSH Server, Embedded SSH Client and Embedded RADIUS Client and an EAP / 802.1x wireless solution. All components are full featured, RFC compliant and leverage Mocana's FIPS 140-2 certified cryptographic software module. They are easy to use, flexible and high performance, designed with an asynchronous core to fully leverage hardware acceleration if needed.
