Advantech Presents ADAM-6541/ST Ethernet Switch

The eAutomation Group of Advantech introduces the ADAM-6541/ST, an industrial Ethernet network media converter between multi-mode fiber optic and wire connection. It features standard ST fiber optic connectors and a standard shielded RJ-45 wired Ethernet connector. The ADAM-6541/ST is suited for providing reliable fiber Ethernet connection over long distances up to 2 km and through environments with the potential for significant EMI, such as lightning. An example is using fiber to interconnect the wired networks of two separate buildings.

The ADAM-6541/ST features include: auto-negotiated 10/100 Mbps wired network speeds, full/half duplex flow control, auto-configured MDI/MDI-X crossover connection, broadcast storm protection, +10 ~ 30 Vdc power input, surge protection (EFT) to 3.000 Vdc on the power input, operating temperatures from -10 ~ 65° C, embedded memory buffers on both the fiber and the wired ports, and flexible DIN-rail, panel, and stackable mounting.
