DTR's Whitebox Server Solutions are Available

The SCO Group has announced the availability of DTR's powerful whitebox server solutions featuring SCO's OpenServer 6 and Intel's dual-core processors. SCO OpenServer 6 utilizes dual-core processing, allowing customers to gain superior performance and multi-tasking capabilities from their server systems.

SCO OpenServer 6 is one of the most secure and reliable UNIX application platforms for Intel technology, and fully supports Intel's DDR2 Memory, independent interface with FSB, and dual-gigabit Ethernet. Additionally, both Intel's Pentium 4 dual-core processor and SCO's OpenServer 6 were designed to increase productivity and processing power; and DTR is combining the two to offer a commanding, fully-tested, and certified whitebox solution.

Maintenance Pack 1 (MP1) for SCO OpenServer 6 includes the added support and functionality for multi-core processing capabilities allowing servers to complete multiple tasks using one integrated circuit or chip. Once installed, the maintenance pack will automatically detect and immediately begin utilizing multiple-core processors on a server. In addition to dual-core support, OpenServer 6 features file support up to 1 TB, enhanced memory support up to 64 GB, and the power of the UNIX SVR5 kernel. SCO OpenServer 6 customers are experiencing dramatic performance improvement, easy migration, and simple administration.
