LeftHand Networks Announces SAN Filer 150

LeftHand Networks has announced the SAN Filer 150, a refresh of the SAN Filer 100 product based on Microsoft's Windows Storage Server 2003 R2. LeftHand licenses Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 from Microsoft.

The LeftHand SAN Filer 150 is a NAS gateway into the LeftHand SAN, enabling the customer to leverage a single, scalable network storage repository for both file and block-based storage. This unified approach allows customers to take advantage of LeftHand's just-in-time scalability, ease of management and flexible data availability for both file and block data. The SAN Filer supports file and print services for Microsoft Windows (SMB/CIFS), Unix/Linux (NFS), Apple (through NFS), and HTTP environments.

SAN Filer 150 featuring Windows Storage Server R2 will be available in April.
