Integrated wireless security environment

IPcelerate announced the deployment of a wireless security environment for all county judges in Washington County, PA. Utilizing its IPsession 2500 system, IPcelerate integrated wireless panic buttons into an IP telephony environment, thereby ensuring immediate and direct response to all panic signals throughout the county courthouse, including grounds and parking structures. The wireless system addresses the safety concerns of judges and significantly improves the security measures surrounding these government officials. By leveraging the Cisco IP Communications network, the IPsession server is able to uniquely identify each judge by name and specific location in the event a panic button is pushed. Each judge is issued a radio-frequency alert button, which they carry with them at all times. "Judges throughout this nation are consistently threatened by criminals and ex-criminals seeking revenge," commented a Washington County representative. "IPcelerate has addressed these concerns with a security environment that works seamlessly with our VoIP network, giving us visibility through a single console to panic alerts, area paging, motion, fire and smoke sensors."

Kevin Brown, CEO of IPcelerate, stated, "This system provides a safe environment for the judges and staff who dedicate their lives to protect and serve the greater public, and illustrates how VoIP can positively impact homeland security initiatives. This is above and beyond the convergence of voice, video and data, and is the type of impact IPcelerate is seeking to provide for all customers."
