Run your .NET applications anywhere

Code Systems announced the release of the 2006 editions of its Xenocode Postbuild .NET code security and deployment system. Xenocode Postbuild 2006 breakthrough technology allows .NET applications to run on any Windows PC, with or without the Framework, counteracts decompilation and reverse engineering, optimizes application size and performance, and dramatically reduces test and support costs by eliminating "DLL/versioning hell."

Microsoft's .NET platform offers software publishers unprecedented advantages in developer productivity and application reliability. Unfortunately, applications built on .NET cannot execute unless users have first installed the .NET runtime, a significant obstacle to application deployment. Further, once installed, .NET applications can be easily decompiled to source code using readily available decompilation tools, and may not function properly when installed on machines with different versions of the runtime.

Xenocode Postbuild allows developers to enjoy the benefits of the .NET platform without these drawbacks by recompiling applications into a single, secure, native executable: Native code generation enables .NET applications to run on machines without the .NET Framework; advanced code obfuscation algorithms with integrated watermarking protect applications against unauthorized decompilation and duplication; metadata reduction, code pruning, and on-the-fly assembly compression optimize application size and performance; and assembly linking merges all executable code modules into a single, self-contained executable. By applying intelligent auto-configuration heuristics based on analysis of hundreds of end-user applications, Xenocode Postbuild configures itself automatically for most application scenarios, allowing developers to get started with just a few clicks.

Now in its fourth annual release, the 2006 editions of Postbuild introduce native executable generation, complete support for the .NET 2.0 virtual machine, seamless integration with Xenocode Release Manager, as well as compatibility with the latest .NET applications, platforms, and devices, among many other enhancements.
