New high performance power amplifier

ANADIGICS introduced a linear power amplifier (PA) for Wireless Broadband (WiBro) applications, at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. WiBro is a 4G wireless technology related to the WiMAX IEEE 802.16e standard. ANADIGICS' AWT6235 has been optimized for WiBro applications, which enable high-speed data services and in mobile environments."ANADIGICS is at the forefront of RF technology with a comprehensive portfolio of high performance power amplifiers optimized for 2G, 2.5G, 3G, and emerging 4G applications, " said Dr. Ali Khatibzadeh, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Wireless Products at ANADIGICS. "WiBro is expanding the possibilities for wireless access beyond WiFi, enabling users to have broadband internet access with some degree of mobility. WiBro and WiMAX solutions significantly expand ANADIGICS' market opportunities in the wireless space."

The AWT6235 operates in the 2300 to 2390 MHz frequency band and meets the stringent Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) linearity requirements of the WiBro high-speed data system. The new PA offers an exceptional ACLR of -40 dBc and output power of 25.5 dBm to provide superior signal quality. The high performance AWT6235 is offered in a compact 4 mm by 4 mm by 1 mm surface mount package to reduce printed circuit board (PCB) space requirements. The products are manufactured using a materials set consistent with the European Union's Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS).
