IOGEAR eases printing pains for SOHO

IOGEAR today launched itspalm-sized USB Multi-Function Print Server, which allows all networked PCs inSOHO (small office, home office) and SMB (small, medium sized businesses)environments to access one multi-function USB printer to print, fax or scandocuments. Unlike most products currently available on the market, this devicesupports two-way communication with a printer, providing real-time updates onink or toner levels and progress reports on sending and receiving faxes. Byconnecting the print server to a wireless router, it immediately becomes aWide Local Area Network (WLAN) unit, enabling wireless communication with allcomputers on the network.
Additionally, Web-based management software makes printer management fastand easy, enabling users to configure and reset the print server and monitornetworked multi-function printers through a Web browser.
"In the past, many small and home offices have not had the ability to setup networked printers, and this can be costly due to the fact that users hadto purchase multiple printers for employees, " said Miranda Su, vice presidentof sales and marketing at IOGEAR, Inc. "By enabling a connection to thenetwork port, our new print server enables multiple users to share onemulti-function printer in order to meet all of their printing, faxing andscanning needs."
Priced at $99.95, IOGEAR's USB Multi-Function Print Server (part numberGMFPSU01) is available immediately from all major catalog resellers, onlineresellers and selected retail outlets.
