DCJAZZFEST FROM HOME presented by Live From Our Living Rooms feat. DeeDee Bridgewater, Regina Carter, John Clayton and more DC Jazz Festival (DCJF) announces an exceptional, fully-virtual schedule of artists performing live from their homes in an online festival & fundraiser running June 21-29, 2020. DCJazzFest From Home presented by Live From Our Living Rooms offers nine consecutive days of in-home performances and music-based humanities presentations by master-level and emerging jazz artists - DC-based and beyond - to raise relief funds for DC-area musicians who have lost their primary source of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In collaboration with Live From Our Living Rooms (LFOLR), this DCJazzFest From Home series (LFOLR-DC) will feature DeeDee Bridgewater, Regina Carter, John Clayton and more. In line with social distancing practices, all performances and presentations will include soloists and small groups residing under the same roof to prevent the spread of the virus. Donations from the LFOLR-DC series audiences will provide relief to DC area musicians who have applied for financial aid during these difficult times; applications are still open to all eligible DC area artists. Artist applications to the LFOLR-DC relief fund will be reviewed by a panel process put together by DCJF, and $1, 000 allocations will be administered based on need. Tax-deductible donations will be collected through a GoFundMe campaign and managed by DC Jazz Festival, a trusted non-profit organization.
