Your Song Listeners, Friends, Lovers, and Others: I'm writing to find out who among you can commission me to compose a piece of music. Said piece would be dedicated to YOU...or to the person or entity of your choice. Sound promising? If you are familiar with my music, you know my range of compositional styles: blues, bop, swing, ballad, ragtime, trance, boogie-woogie, salon, tango. The choice is yours! What I am always after is the strong melodic line. I can promise you that. (If you’ve not encountered my music, I urge you to go to www.joelforrester.com...and listen!) My basic fee will be $50 (or 50€) for each composition---although, if you are flush, a bit more will be graciously accepted! Here's what you'll get: a home-made recording of your piece, sent to your email address, plus a picture of the score---with date and dedication prominent---suitable for printing.
