Marius Billgobenson "Tears On The Ground" Award-winning anthropologist and musician, Marius Bilgobenson, is releasing his beautiful, brand new single “Tears on the Ground” on Friday, March 13, 2020. Originally hailing from the Congo River Basin, Bilgobenson works tirelessly to promote cross-cultural dialogue. Inspired by the likes of Louis Armstong, he has chosen jazz fusion as his means of communicating his powerful messages of civil rights advocacy to the world. His music contains elements of jazz, R&B, blues and indigenous African traditions which further drive home his message of inclusivity and awareness for disenfranchised communities. When asked about his upcoming release Bilgobenson shares: “Tears On The Ground celebrates the social advocates who have shaped, cared and embraced our pleasant lives. With his words, his music, and his life, he’s telling the world stories they need hear about marginalized people, environmental issues, and human rights. Marius’s invigorating blend of jazz instrumentation with indigenous African music seeks to bring awareness to disenfranchised communities. His passion and purpose are sharing the culture and concerns of his native land of the Congo River Basin—particularly, the plight of the Forest People, sometimes referred to as the “Pygmies” who reside inthe Congo rainforest—but his message reverberates universally. Today, the Stockholm, Sweden-based artist announces a stunning pair of singles, “Tribes in Mind” and “Tears on the Ground.” Marius has become one of the most powerful voices of the Congolese community.
