Jon Faddis Quartet @ Jazz Forum! Jon Faddis Quartet FRI & SAT • AUG 16 & 17 7 & 9:30 PM Jon Faddis is a Grammy Award–nominated jazz trumpet player, conductor, composer and educator. Born in Oakland, California, he began playing the trumpet at age eight, inspired by seeing Louis Armstrong on the Ed Sullivan Show. Faddis has directed several orchestras, including the Grammy-winning United Nation Orchestra and the Jon Faddis Jazz Orchestra of New York.
