Bobby McFerrin/CircleSongs Enter the circle with vocal virtuoso Bobby McFerrin and his team of gifted teachers for a weeklong workshop in the improvisational singing technique Circlesongs. Welcoming to beginners, yet challenging for even the most advanced, this program invites us to embrace the freedom to play, sing, invent, and imagine—in music and in life. Bobby will be joined by his most innovative Voicestra members David Worm, Judi Vinar, Rhiannon, and Joey Blake, master Circlesinger Christiane Karam, and others from beatboxing and classical influences. The program features large group sessions and plenty of guided small group sessions for experimentation at all levels. Electives might include body percussion, music theory, looping, Balkan and a cappella choirs, freestyle language improvisation, and vocal technique. Past attendees describe this program as a life-changing journey. Come make music, create community, and nurture creativity. Every song, every voice has a place in the circle.
