Jason Miles tours Europe with "Kind of New"
On Feb 25 the Blue Note jazz club in Milan will host the kick off date to Jason Miles 2018 Kind of New European tour.
From his groundbreaking work on Miles Davis’ masterpieces (Tutu, Music From Siesta & Amandla) to “Kind of New”, Jason Miles is committed to pushing the envelope of sonic possibilities. Over the years Jason Miles has worked over the years with a proverbial who’s who of contemporary music: Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Michael Brecker, David Sandborn, the Crusaders, George Benson and Grover Washington Jr.
Jason and his current band will be in Europe for concerts next week.
Jason's "Kind of New" tour will see him perform at iconic venue's in Italy, France, Germany, Austria and the UK.

Theo Croker: Trumpet
Jay Rodriguez: Sax
Gene Lake: Drums
Reggie Washington: Bass
In a recent interview with Jazz In Europe, Jason said in respect of the line-up, “I was thrilled that musicians like Theo Croker, Gene Lake, Reggie Washington and Jay Rodriguez would take this journey across Europe with me. I hope it’s the first of many.”
In “Kind of New” (inspired by Miles Davis’ legendary 1970 “Cellar Door” sessions) Jason offers a journey into the future of jazz via a fresh vibe that fuses electric and acoustic grooves with infectious melodies and virtuoso performances.
