Keyon Harrold & Damien Sneed at the last Jazz & Chihuly this Friday!

This Friday, August 18th, The New York Botanical Garden will present its final installment of Jazz & Chihuly. This program, entitled "Songs of Protest and Reconciliation" will feature pianist and composer Damien Sneed and trumpeter extraordinaire Keyon Harrold.

On August 9, Keyon released his new single "MB Lament" in honor of Michael Brown, who was killed three years prior to the day in Ferguson, MO, Keyon's hometown. "MB Lament" will be the centerpiece of Friday's program.

A stunning evening of iconic repertoire performed by an all-star ensemble assembled and led by award-winning pianist Damien Sneed with special guest Keyon Harrold on trumpet. Together, Sneed and this accomplished group will offer an unforgettable blend of jazz, soul, gospel, and contemporary music in a night speaking to the challenges and hopes of our time: think Nina Simone’s anthem “I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to be Free, ” Simon and Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water, ” or Stevie Wonder’s “You Will Know.” Don’t miss this spectacular final event of JAZZ & CHIHULY at The New York Botanical Garden!
