Thomas Lorenzo to Bring Australia to Life with his 2018 Flamenco Guitar Celebration Tour

These 60 minutes promise to change the world for the better. World famous guitarist, composer and teacher Thomas Lorenzo is embarking on his 2018 Australian concert tour, bringing the best of Flamenco Guitar music along with contemporary Jazz and Blues.

Thomas Lorenzo is an award winning and world renowned guitarist, composer and music educator, who believes in refreshing hearts and souls, and replenishing them with gentle strumming on the strings. His Flamenco Guitar Celebration Tour is just round the corner, to be held between September-November in Victoria, Australia. Thomas will be performing live with vocalist Angel Mellado.

"My mission is to develop inner creativity, a personal voice thriving for excellence, and entertain Australian audiences with music that is a reflection of uniqueness and creativity!" says Thomas.

Thomas' latest appearances have been on an ABC Get Kracking in 2017, and The Frankston Cube, Vic Australia, and he has featured 18 times at the Armadale Uniting Hall, Vic, Australia between 2016-2018. He has released 5 solo instrumental albums and 12 singles in contemporary Jazz, Blues and Flamenco styles.

Famous for his 'Mediterranean' style Jazz, Thomas learnt traditional Flamenco songs from his family and the Spanish diaspora, who kept them alive in Melbourne after fleeing from Spanish dictator Francisco Franco in the 1950s. Thomas went back to Spain with his family after Franco's death in 1975, and continued to hone his musical skills. Since 2012, Thomas is based in Carnegie, Vic, and run his music teaching academy where he trains new talent in private and group workshop classes.

"Through my guitar and music, I bring to life special emotions, to feel replenished, inspired and relaxed. Share with me my musical journey, " says Thomas.

Among his top successes is the album 'Spanish Breeze' that ranked at #36 on the Top 50 JazzWeek World Music Album Charts in 2010. The album also features Grammy nominee Alphonso Johnson on bass, and Walfredo Reyes on drums. The album is produced by Grammy nominee Bruce Sugar (Ringo Starr).
