| Blues Rock legend BEN GRANFELT releases today his new solo album “My Soul To You” Today, the Blues Rock icon BEN GRANFELT releases his new album "My Soul To You" and once again proves his extraordinary skills with powerful lyrics, captivating melodies and strong guitar themes. The Finnish doyen of the electric guitar delivers a fresh sound that comes from the bottom of his heart. With his precise guitar work, he proves once more throughout the entire playing time that he is able to create special moments with string and voice, which will stuck in your head. He has been on the road as a professional guitarist for more than 34 years and has celebrated plenty of international successes with bands such as the Gringos Locos, Leningrad Cowboys, Wishbone Ash and Los Bastardos Finlandeses. In parallel, he has started an extensive solo career, which now comprises 16 studio albums including the new masterpiece. On "My Soul To You" BEN GRANFELT additionally surprises with some changes. Thus, he has occupied his rhythm section with his long-time companions Masa Maijann and Okku Laru in a new way and thus further advanced his own development. Drummer and producer Okku Laru advised him to increase his standard equipment from a Fender Strat and Gibson Les Paul with a Duesenberg, Gretsch and Paoletti each to five guitars in order to achieve more variety, which also worked audibly well. Furthermore, on this album guest singers appear for the first time and no-one less than BEN GRANFELT's wife Jasmine Wynants-Granfelt performs on "Fuel To Burn" and on the JP Harvey cover "This Is Love" as well as Bryn Jones, who hits with his smoky voice on "My Heroine" the right mood. Even independently of the guest contributions, BEN GRANFELT creates an astonishing variety. Whether through the pessimistic "Weight Of The World", its stomping-positive antipole "Life, Living And You" or the remarkable instrumental outro "Sunrise", in which the subtle songwriter captures the atmosphere of sunrise in its patient beauty, the variance remains an interesting feature.
