Jazz Cabaret legend, British-based Barb Jungr returns to Joe's Pub, her spiritual home in NYC, for the world premiere of a collection of songs written by Sting. In collaboration with Grammy and Emmy winning musical supremo John McDaniel, with whom she created the 5-star reviewed CD and show of Beatles material, "Come Together", Jungr and McDaniel reveal the beauty and breadth of Sting's extraordinary repertoire. Through a set that includes "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, "Until, " "Every Breath You Take, " "Englishman In New York, ", "Fragile" and more, Barb and John explore Sting's work, finding quiet beauty, intensity, politics and passion.

In 2017 Jungr released her 9th recording internationally on Linn Records collaborating with US piano virtuoso Laurence Hobgood. The album, which received critical raves was named on of the top albums of 2016 by Jazzwise. Jungr's work has received 4 and 5 star reviews in the UK, The USA and Australia. She is now also preforming regularly in Berlin. During her long career she has performed on 4 continents. In 2017 Jungr also released a an album of Beatles explorations with Broadway arranger and Emmy-winning music director John McDaniel, which has gained more raves. Her live work has made her a cult star, known for her humor and drama combined, it's a heady mix, which made UK television star and gay pioneer Julian Clary call her "a one woman emotional enema and not for the faint hearted." Jeremy Irons and Billy Bragg are known fans, Bragg called her "possibly our best interpreter of Dylan's songs". The Wall Street Journal called her 2002 exploration of Dylan "one of the most significant vocal albums of the century thus far" and recently said she "brings the same creativity for reinterpretation and re-examination that Ella Fitzgerald brought to Cole Porter."

JOHN McDANIEL is a Grammy and two-time Emmy Award winning Composer, Music Director, Arranger, Orchestrator, Theatrical and Record Producer and is the Artistic Director of the Tony Award winning O'Neill Theater Center's Cabaret and Performance conference. John has arranged, orchestrated and/or music directed ten shows on Broadway.
