Fahir's three previous U.S. jazz CD releases have made it to #1 (three times) on the JazzWeek World Music Chart as well as charting high on the JazzWeek Jazz Chart. "Live at Umbria Jazz" charted in a high position on the JazzWeek Charts for 16 weeks! The Trio has performed at venues in the U.S. such as Blues Alley in D.C., Jazz Alley in Seattle and many other venues all over the country. Fahir has performed at Carnegie Hall twice - once with Sezen Aksu and another time with Sertab Erener both times selling out. In October of 2015, Fahir was honored to receive an award from Turk of America Magazine as one of the 50 most influential Turkish Americans.

Fahir Atakoğlu is an international award winning composer and pianist well known in the fields of jazz, large symphonic works and film music. His works have been performed in many music festivals in Europe and the United States to critical acclaim.
