Newvelle Records Exclusive Box Set Featuring Jack DeJohnette, Don Friedman, Noah Preminger and More

We set out to build a series of records, of all new music, that cuts no corners sonically or artistically. Built on a model that treats musicians right and uses the full available canvas of vinyl to make something unique and beautiful. And with your help and the incredible, generous artistic contributions of photographer Bernard Plossu and poet Tracy K. Smith we've produced our first series of vinyls that we are incredibly proud of.

Our model is based on building an exclusive community interested in hearing this music in the best possible presentation. We record at the highest possible level and pay our musicians upfront. Musicians keep all non-vinyl rights to the record and in return musicians grant us a window of a few years when the music is available only at Newvelle and only on vinyl.

Here's some of what people are saying about Newvelle Records:

"The sound is beautifully crisp, and the packaging — with work by the French photographer Bernard Plossu and the American poet Tracy K. Smith — is elegant and spare."

-Nate Chinen, The New York Times

"If you're a Newvelle Records subscriber, you know what to expect from each new release. If you're not, get out that checkbook and sign up. This music is too urgent to be missed."

-Guy Lemcoe, The Audio Beat

"Listeners will feel and experience the breath on the tenor reed, the woody timbre of the bass, and the snap of the drum stick on the snare. You are there with a front and center seat."

-Jeff Krow, Audiophile Audition

"With this all-star band in tow, Preminger does what he does best—he tells a compelling story without frills, relying on raw talent and he does it better than he has ever done before."

-Karl Ackermann, All About Jazz

"This is surely among the best recorded albums I have heard, but not in a clinical way. Turn it up, close your eyes, and the band is in the room, such is the dynamic range, accuracy and richness of the sound."

-John Shand, Sydney Morning Herald

Leo Genovese's "Argentinosaurus" featuring Esperanza Spalding and Jack DeJohnette is the last record in our first series and it's something special...
