Other Houses "Fabulous Dates" is available now

Today, November 18, is the release of Fabulous Dates, the second full-length from Other Houses, aka Morgan Enos of Hollow Sunshine and Hheaven.

Morgan is telling us about the album with a track by track that you can read below.

Fabulous Dates is an album about social lives, drinks, and formality. It takes place in the after-hours of the bar, at the bad show, at the weird party, over weird drinks. I performed it with fuzz bass, drums, harpsichord, some guitars and singing.
What would you like to know about me?

1. Pronounce Tarot
One time I dated somebody who very prissily corrected my pronunciation, but corrected it wrongly. It's not "ta-row." Unconscionable. This is a punk song.

2. Fabulous Dates
Me, having a lot of fun pissing and moaning over a baroque pop song from 1967. Hung on a variation of "Walk Away Renee."

3. I Feel Good
I was reading the book about Chet Baker, "Deep In A Dream, " and thought it might be fun to write a song where I laconically hang out in a turtleneck with a glass of wine all day.

4. See Tangerine
A breezy song about nothing. Probably sung to myself. I won't leave you dismayed.

5. Ferns are Fine Forever
The national anthem of Other Houses. Arrangement for harpsichord, strings and tricorn hat.

6. On a Vanity
"Ferns" is so frilly and overdressed that I wanted to take a firehose to it. It's straight and narrow from here on out.

7. Jar of Marbles
All your mistakes in this life will be tallied, one by one, then presented to you at the end. A song for the speedway, or the sports arena. One of my best songs.

8. Quartz on the Table
Written for a dear friend of mine who was having a rough patch. I wanted to write something reassuring. A song about cleaning house.

9. No Part of It
I'll just shoot one last real quick glare over my shoulder then I'll be on my way.
