Tulio Araujo live Recording Session at Williamsburg Music Center

Tulio Araujo live Recording Session at WMC

Sunday, November 6th, 9pm
at Williamsburg Music Center
367 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn NY 11211

Since Tulio Araujo got in town, people started to talk about the fusion between his high technics on what he considers his main instrument - the Pandeiro - and the contemporary Jazz language. That's what he calls "The Dobradura Project".

After a period of almost 6 months playing with some of the best musicians in town, composing new tunes and doing workshops, it's time to go back to Brazil to finish his 3rd album "Monduland", to be released on the first semester of 2017.

That's why this concert at the Williamsburg Music Center on November 6th is so important and special for him and for people in New York. It's the last shot to see him performing live, for a long time, and it's gonna be recorded as part of his special album, "Live in NY". Túlio is featuring 4 incredible instrumentalists, that embraced his project with such passion and enthusiasm: Helio Alves on Piano, Jorge Continentino on Sax and Flute, Edward Perez on Bass and Cesar Garabini on 7 String Guitar.

The repertoire is pretty much about his 2 released albums, "Manguêra" and "East", but full of Brazilian Jazz classics, composed by masters such as Sivuca, Milton Nascimento, Pixinguinha and contemporary composers such as Lucas Telles, Daniel Grajew, Felipe Vilas Boas and Tiago Araújo.
