ABOUT CYNTHIA SAYER: Award-winning musician Cynthia Sayer is recognized as one of the top 4-string classic jazz banjo players worldwide. Praised for her "drive and virtuosity" by The New York Times, Sayer rose to prominence as a founding member of Woody Allen's New Orleans Jazz Band, touring with the band for over 10 years. Cynthia maintains an active schedule as a bandleader, side player, and studio musician. She has played with Bucky Pizzarelli, Dick Hyman, Les Paul, Marvin Hamlisch, Wynton Marsalis, Marian McPartland, Andy Statman, John McEuen (Nitty Gritty Dirt Band), and many others. Her banjo, piano, ukulele, tenor guitar and voice can be heard on feature film and TV soundtracks, commercials, and recordings.

Sayer was inducted into the American Banjo Hall Of Fame, played for two U.S. Presidents (once at The White House), performed with The New York Philharmonic, has received several honors and award nominations for her recordings, and is proud to be the subject of a Trivial Pursuit game question. She is also an avid educator, and has been giving private lessons, workshops, and performing educational programs, for more than two decades.
