Special Announcement: Nadia Washington LIVE at Metropolitan Room, 4/8

The Metropolitan Room Presents:

An Evening with Nadia Washington

Friday, April 8, 9:30 PM

"Nadia Washington is a glorious and rare talent. She has thornily rooted herself in gospel, jazz bossa nova and r&b yet she freely reaches uncharted, uncategorized territory in her writing and performance." — Esperanza Spalding

Nadia Washington is thrilled to make her debut at the world famous Metropolitan Room on Friday, April 8 at 9:30 PM. Reservations can be made here.

Nadia Washington is a singer/songwriter hailing from Dallas, Texas, who has performed with esteemed artists such as Esperanza Spalding, Lalah Hathaway and George Duke. Since the release of her EP singles, Nadia has toured Europe and Russia/Siberia. At the age of 27, Nadia had the pleasure of working as a background singer for Dianne Reeves' Beautiful Life Album this year, which received a Grammy for Best Jazz Vocals in 2014. Nadia's sound is a blend of jazz, soul, R&B and world music.

2015 saw the release of Supreme Sonacy Vol. 1, a compilation for Revive Music and Blue Note Records, of which Nadia was featured on alongside revered saxophonist Chris Potter on Ray Angry's "Celebration of Life Suite: Awareness & Revolution".
