Chicago Blues: A Living History Has Launched A Kickstarter Campaign To Fund Third Album

The Grammy-nominated super-group CHICAGO BLUES: A LIVING HISTORY has launched a Kickstarter campaign to keep the Chicago Blues alive and is asking for pledges to be made by Friday, March 4 at 11:32 PM CST.

The project hopes to reunite the group's two generations of Chicago Blues' greatest living artists and pioneers, including Billy Boy Arnold, John Primer, Billy Branch, Carlos Johnson, Lurrie Bell, James Cotton, Buddy Guy, Ronnie Baker Brooks and Zora Young, among others. These illustrious inheritors of the Chicago Blues tradition will come together with today's rising Blues stars, not only to bear witness to the history, influence and power of this music but to help propel Chicago Blues into it's future.

With two highly acclaimed double-CD albums already under their belt—Chicago Blues: A Living History (2009) and Chicago Blues: A Living History—The evolution Continues (2011)—and with a Grammy Award nomination and many other awards and critical recognition, these extraordinary artists are now ready to embark on the production of the third volume of this continuing tribute entitled Chicago Blues: A Living History—Alive and Kicking.

Kickstarter pledges, which begin at $10, will be recompensed with a variety of of rewards, including Chicago Blues: A Living History double CDs, exclusive digital downloads, a limited-edition DVD and producer credits.
