A Night in Brazil with Bebel Gilberto
Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 8pm
Palm Bay International World Beat Series
Experience the sights and sounds of Brazil – FREE Brazilian hors d'oeuvres such as coxinha, pasteis, kibes, among others provided by Tribuna Newspaper, and sip on the traditional Brazilian drink a Caipirinhas! Known for her adventurous blends of Brazilian, European and electronic pop styles, the multi-Grammy-nominated Bebel Gilberto released her latest album, Tudo, in August of 2014. Bebel splits her time between Rio de Janeiro and New York City and she's exquisitely synthesized musical influences from both cities. Bebel's sultry tonality is constant, as are the warm and playful Brazilian rhythms. The gorgeous melodies are shaped by touches of electronica, and Bebel's intimate vocals hint at a fantastical Rio de Janeiro.
