Get In The Mood With Plunky & Oneness

Smooth jazz saxophone can set just the right tone for intimacy so the Plunky & Oneness soulful sax version of "In The Mood, " should lead to lots of romance. This reprise of the Whispers' hit song is a bit more subtle but just as suggestive as crooned by Plunky's tenor sax and answered by the enticingly sexy vocals of his musical soul mate, Charlayne "Chyp" Green.

N.A.M.E. Brand Records announces the February 8, 2016 release of "In The Mood, " the latest single by the legendary jazz funk group, Plunky & Oneness, available on CD or download from CDBaby.com, Amazon.com, itunes.com, etc.

Written by Kenneth "Baby Face" Edmonds and Darryl Simmons, "In the Mood" is a mellow mood setter and Plunky's saxophone rendition is a musical arrow in cupid's Valentine's quiver, or an invitation for warm cuddling on a cold winter's night, or a mellow soundtrack for a blossoming springtime rendezvous. The song is perfect for getting lovers "in the mood..."

Says Plunky, "We just wanted to give a musical gift to lovers. Chyp has always loved the song so it was nice for us to do it featuring sax and vocals like a modern day Lady Day and Prez..."

The single is a musical interlude and precursor to a new album, "Plunky & Oneness of Juju Jazz & Funk, " scheduled for release in June, 2016. The album's release will coincide with the publication of Plunky's new book, PLUNKY: Juju Jazz Funk & Oneness – A Musical Memoir.
