Edie Daponte Releases Second Studio Album "Young At Heart"

After 2012's Love Bossa, a latin-styled collection sung mainly in Brazilian Portuguese, Edie Daponte returns this year with Young at Heart, her second studio album. A collection of Edie's own original material alongside some of her and her fans' favourite standards, this new album showcases the strength of Edie's beautiful and versatile voice.Young at Heart is truly a love- affair, reflecting all Edie's passions including the west-coast of Canada, sailing and her personal relationships; all expressed through her other passion, music.

Young at Heart was produced and engineered by Juno-nominated Joby Baker from Baker Studios in Victoria, Canada. The album features arrangements by Joey Smith and performances from Smith, Baker, Karel Roessingh, Richard Moody, Damian Graham, Adrian Dolan, Monik Nordine and Miguelito Valdes.

With her sultry tones and soulful performances, Edie DaPonte has established a reputation within the music scene of Vancouver Island and mainland B.C. as a dynamic and engaging performer. Emotive and passionate, Edie's voice lends itself perfectly to a wide range of jazz standards seamlessly moving from jazz to bossa nova and back again, switching between Portuguese, Spanish and French numbers with ease.

A regular performer in her home town of Sidney as the house singer for the Beacon Landing, Edie has performed at festivals including the Victoria International Jazz Festival and Vancouver Latin Festival.
