Tina Fabrique Brings Ella And Beyond to 54 Below

Vocalist Tina Fabrique is known for her stellar Broadway appearances as well as for performing with jazz greats around the world. The audience will get a taste of both when Tina takes over 54 Below on Thursday, September 3, at 9:30 pm for ELLA AND BEYOND, an evening featuring her favorite Ella Fitzgerald songs and some of her Broadway and television musical moments.

It is no secret that Tina Fabrique, jazz vocalist/actress/songwriter, loves the music of Ella Fitzgerald. She has received rave reviews from her award-winning musical "Ella" since she created the show in 2005. Breaking box office records across the nation, Tina has received the Kevin Kline Award, The Acclaim Award, The Carbonell Award, and was nominated for the Helen Hayes Award. In addition, she has brought audiences to their feet with her roles in "Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk, " "Ragtime, " "How to Succeed in Business, " "The Wiz"and other Broadway shows.

Tina has performed around the world with the Duke Ellington Orchestra under the direction of Mercer Ellington, and also worked with Jimmy Heath, Wycliffe Gordon, Roland Hanna, Houston Person, George Coleman, Norman Simmons, Danny Mixon, George Caldwell, Stanley Banks, Frank Owens and Onaje Allan Gumbs. In addition, she has shared the stage with some of the world's great vocalists, including Abbey Lincoln, Carmen McCrae and Joe Williams.

Fabrique is a member of the International Women in Jazz and has studied with the be-bop master Barry Harris.
