Superstar talent developer Linda Septien keynotes Cutting Edge 2015

The Cutting Edge CE announced that talent developer Linda Septien will serve as keynote speakers for its 23rd Annual Cutting Edge CE (formerly the Cutting Edge Music Business Conference) which takes place August 27-29, 2015 at the Downtown Marriott at the Convention Center in the New Orleans' Warehouse District.

Linda Septien is the foremost authority on vocal technique and vocal branding. Her alumni include branded icons Jessica Simpson, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Kacey Musgraves, Beyonce Knowles, Destiny's Child, 10 American Idol, X factor and the Voice finalists, over 30 rock, pop and country bands. She is the Creative Director for Kidz Bop, the Billboard #1 Kid Touring Group of all time.

New York Times bestseller "The Talent Code" recognized Linda as one of the Top Five Talent Coaches in the World.

Linda will discuss how she improves an artist brand through social media and the income steams an artist can develop when done correctly. She will also lead a panel on the new way of music and how it REALLY works today.

Cutting Edge provides an intimate environment where musicians, entertainment professionals and attorneys can mingle with speakers asking and answering questions in a relaxed atmosphere. Panel topics and speakers will focus on "Hot" topics and "Current" trends in today's music and entertainment industry.

New Orleans is the home of the Cutting Edge, where music, great songs and talented musicians are essential to our cultural identity. Cutting Edge CE also comprises an Entertainment Law Seminar • Music Business Sessions • Film and Interactive Workshop • NOLA Downtown Music and Arts Festival
Cutting Edge Entertainment Law Seminar – Will explore the art of "Making a Deal" Strategies, Tactics and Winning Techniques. Panel sessions will include topics on entertainment litigation, copyrights, trademarks and transactional law. Film and Interactive sessions on Reality TV and Making A Film Deal will link the Entertainment Law and the Film and Interactive Workshop.

Music Business Sessions – Cutting Edge will host recording executives, music licensing experts, producers, booking agents, managers, music supervisors and publishers. Look for panels on getting your music in films, management, all-in-one producers, songwriting, using radio to brand your music, getting a million fans in social media, booking and touring.
Film and Interactive Workshop – Panels, Indie Filmmaking, Meetups, and the "CellFone Film Challenge" a video festival where all entries must be shot on cell phones, entries must be edited, original productions 60 seconds to 7 minutes in length.

NOLA Downtown Music and Arts Festival – Located in New Orleans newest entertainment district and fastest growing neighborhood the New Orleans Warehouse District. Walk and enjoy music, food, art, bowling, and pop-up shopping along Fulton and Diamond Street. Cutting Edge ends the summer in New Orleans fashion with a Street Party.

February 25: Cutting Edge Listen Room at Little Gem Saloon; 60's Icon, Beat poet, John Sinclair is joined by Carlo Ditta for a night of Beat driven Blues Learn more about Little Gem's past as an early 1900's Jazz Age venue and New Orleans original Jazz District. See John Lennon perform the Free John Sinclair concert. Nigerian poet, University of New Orleans Distinguished Professor of English, Niyi Osundare, winner of the prestigious Noma Prize and the Cadbury Poetry Prize, will read from his Blues poetry collection. Artist Rose Marie Sand folk art and work from her Fazendeville exhibit.
