NEA Jazz Master, Grammy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Marsalis is one of the most revered instrumentalists of our time. His music plays homage to the jazz giants with whom he's worked, a veritable "who's who" including Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock, and Sonny Rollins. Not to be missed! Deriving its name from Preservation Hall, the venerable music venue located in the heart of New Orleans' French Quarter, the "best jazz band in the land" brings a bit of a joyful, timeless spirit of the Big Easy with them wherever they go. They'll be joined by The Southern Knight himself, Mr. Allan Toussaint, known for his distinctively deft and funky feel on the piano.
