Live Action will mix improvisation with sampled materials and scores from "Drum Set with Dog" ( Publisher d'Young Dog ), a book with CD 14 percussion compositions by Rob Kloet, inspired by the work of the British artist Helen Frik



LIVE ACTION BIOS
Rob Kloet ( Amsterdam, June 16 1952 ) is a Dutch drummer and original member of The Nits . Kloet occurs occasionally with other artists, including the Swiss percussionist Fritz Hauser. He can also be heard on CDs by, among others, the Russian singer Marynka Nicolai and the Dutch band Chelsea Hotel. In the first half of the 90's, he composed music for several TV documentaries. From 2006 Kloet played solo and outside the Nits, organized workshops where groups made their percussion instruments and then played them. In 2006 Kloet in Oosthuizen joined for the first time with poet Anne van Amstel . Besides illustrating the poems, Kloet also played some composed and improvised pieces. A second joint action followed in 2007 on the literary festival Fiery Tongues in Ruigoord. In January 2008 appeared "Drum Set with Dog" ( Publisher d'Young Dog ), a book with CD 14 percussion compositions by Rob Kloet, inspired by the work of the British artist Helen Frik .

Born in 1973, Stéphane Puc started his musical studies at the "Lycée de Sèvres' and accordion lessons with Claude Thomain, later continuing with Daniel Mille. He subsequently studied free bass accordion with Frederick Guérouet at the 'Conservatoire National Régional d'Aubervilliers-La Courneuve'. Following masterclasses with Lionel Belmondo, Stéphane worked in the theater for a year whilst studying big-band arranging and accordion with Jacques Bolognesi and Francis Varis.
He performed with 'Ensemble InterContemporain' under the leadership of D. Robertson, H. Zender, J. Stogart, Stentz, J. Nott, G. Vajda, P. Rundel, S. Mälkki; + TM, Route, 2e2m, Ars Nova, OP, ONPL, Pasdeloup Lamoureux, Musicatreize (R. Hayrabedian) Choir Vittoria (M. Mead, Marco P.) and worked with Coline Serreau on "The Summer Salon" and has premièred" The Songs of the unknown # 5 "by Michel Valmer staging as well as" The trade of bread. " He Has collaborated with Antonia Bosco "Stabat Mater Furiosa" in France, Spain, Morocco and Algeria and produced "Anna ... Far over there."
Stéphane has-been Involved in premieres such as Atelier du Plateau by Gilles Zaepffel / Matthew Malgrange, "Look Away" (music by Dominique Pifarély) and "Voyage à Vélo" as perfomer and composer. He recorded "The Sentimental Funeral" for Radio France and toured Japan with Hiroko Ito 's trio. Other tours include Canada and the USA during two years with the establishment of "Corteo", Finzi Pasca's circus show. Stéphane has worked alongside Philippe Saisse in recording studios as well as working on new projects and premieres by "Bianco Silenzio" with Mr. Mozzani in Italy.

Stéphane Puc Produced and Recorded His First Album "Imperfections" in 2009, then
"Still" in 2010, "Beings" in 2011, "Instants & instincts" in 2012 and "Regards" in 2013

Steven Feld's research on sound ecology ranges from Papua New Guinea through Europe and Japan to West Africa. His collaborations with Ghanaian musicians in recent years have resulted in a multi-CD, DVD and book set titled Jazz Cosmopolitanism in Accra. Playing ashiwa, the West African box bass, he has performed and recorded with Alex Coke and Tina Marsh on It's Possible, and with Accra Trane Station on Topographies of the Dark, Another Blue Train, and Meditations. Alex Coke (born 1953, Dallas, Texas) is a jazz saxophonist and flutist. He graduated with his B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1976. Before moving to Amsterdam in 1992, he was the recipient of many local awards. In the 1990s, Coke toured with the Dutch jazz ensemble the Willem Breuker Kollektief. Following his return to Austin, Texas in 2000, he has worked with numerous groups including the Live-Action Brass Band, the Leadbelly Legacy Band, New Texas Swing, The Worthy Constituents, the Paradise Regained Orchestra, the Trio Henk de Jonge, the John Jordan Trio, the Mysterious Quartet from Helsinki, Double Drummer Bill, the Creative Opportunity Orchestra with Tina Marsh, J.A.M.A.D., Carl Smith Tentet, and Labor of Love.
