| Jazz Forum Arts Presents Jazz Forum at 35! June 28 Jazz Forum at 35! at NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts: June 28, 8PM. A musical reunion and alumni celebration of trumpeter Mark Morganelli's Jazz Forum loft/club in Greenwich Village which operated from 1979 to 1983, presenting some 1500 events in that period. This celebratory concert, a featured event of the 2014 Blue Note Jazz Festival will feature almost 30 different artists, all of whom performed at the Jazz Forum (50 Cooper Square and/or 648 Broadway) some 35 years ago. Performances by Lee Konitz, Kenny Barron, Larry Willis, Michele Rosewoman, Vic Juris, Dave Stryker, Jon Burr, Cameron Brown, Sonny Fortune, Billy Hart, Marion Cowings, Jon Hendricks, Charli Persip, T.S. Monk, Candido, David Amram, Bobby Sanabria, Harvie S, Wallace Roney, Steve Turre, Ronnie Cuber, Michael Carvin, Valery Ponomarev, Bob Mover, and Ray Drummond, plus more TBA.
