Sofijazz at Savanna Jazz Club

Did you know that Sunday, March 23rd is an International Meteorological day? Well to be honest, neither did we, but we have just the right thing for you to help you enjoy it. To celebrate this important emerging holiday together with the upcoming birthday of this extraordinary vocalist, we invite you to join us at the Savanna Jazz Club to and witness the sun rays and the clouds that Sofijazz will paint with her robust, sultry voice. She will perform a diverse program of originals and classics, all wrapped in her vision, performed with her dazzling sound.

Having been described as "One of todays generations best voices", this is an opportunity that is not to be missed, especially as this is her last performance in the Bay Area for this season. Hearing her perform live lives little doubt: not only does she master the things that define great jazz vocalists, but she also expands the idea of what a jazz singer is. She is known for incorporating characteristics of some of jazz icons such as Sarah Vaughan and Carmen McRae, while possessing the rare ability to expand that influence in her own unique and individual way.

She will be joined by some of finest jazz musicians such as Elliot Mason, Mark Levine, Mike Bordelon and a few secret special guests from New York.

They will treat you with intricate rhythm arrangements, lyrics that deftly slip into the groove and verses that will leave you humming for days.

So come and celebrate with us!
