The Zawinul Legacy Band plays the music of Joe Zawinul and his legendary, Grammy Award winning groups, Weather Report and The Zawinul Syndicate. The Zawinul Legacy Band isn't any ordinary "tribute" band. These musicians not only appreciate and value the creative and original music of Joe Zawinul, but most of them lived it right along side him. The core of the Zawinul Legacy Band is made up of players who have first-hand experience performing and recording with Joe, which gives them an invaluable insight and understanding of his music. In keeping with Joe's legacy for musical innovation and the discovery of new talent, The Zawinul Legacy Band welcomes new players that embody and honor the spirit of his music. Both of these concerts will be recorded for a new album, "Walkin Tall, " slated for release early summer.
