Chip Taylor's Hot Streak Still Going After 45+ Years

At a time when many of his Brill Building contemporaries are semi- (or fully!) retired, Chip Taylor has never been busier or more inspired, writing and recording a constant stream of new songs and touring non-stop.

Even 47 years after his "Wild Thing" hit #1, Chip is on a hot streak. His new album entitled 'Block Out The Sirens Of This Lonely World' is out May 14 and produced by Norway's Goran Grini, where a new career-spanning Chip tribute album was nominated for a Norwegian Grammy; and he wrote or co-wrote four songs on Carrie Rodriguez's new #1 Americana album 'Give Me All You've Got'-two of which are the album's top songs at radio. Carrie says, "Chip, I could easily call him my mentor. I mean, he's one of my favorite songwriters on the planet. I would put him and Lucinda Williams up there for my favorites."

Inspired by the new tribute album while on tour this year, Chip will devote a portion of his live set to songs from his 50+ year career that he has rarely or never performed live before.
