Drummer Jeff Hamilton Doesn't Miss A Beat On This Week’s 12th Street Jump

Drummer and bandleader Jeff Hamilton tears it up on this week's12th Street Jump, public radio's weekly jazz, blues and comedy jam. Heard each week on fifty-three public radio stations around the country, 12th Street Jump is one of America's most popular live jazz variety shows. Ask your local public radio station to add it to its schedule; 12th Street Jump is available free on PRX and Content Depot. "We had a great time with Jeff on the show, " commented 12SJ host Pete Weber." Besides the Peggy Lee tune I Love Being Here with You from Jeff's trio album The Best Things Happen and the Monk classic Bye, Ya, on which Jeff trades riffs with our drummer Mike Warren, the show features some amazing stick and brush work on Jeff's arrangements of Whisper Not and Poinciana. And his take on the Gershwin standard I Got Rhythm demonstrates that he definitely does-got rhythm."

12th STREET JUMP's tribute to Jeff Hamilton can be heard on-line on most of its affiliate stations and anytime at www.prx.com (click on "Series, " then
