Jana Mashonee Nominated For Three Native American Music Awards

Singer/Songwriter Jana Mashonee has garnered three nominations from the Native American Music Awards (NAMMYS) which will be held in Niagara Falls on May 10, 2013. Her nominations include, "Artist of the Year", "Best Pop Recording" and "Single/Song of the Year" for her soul-stirring rendition of the sixties classic, "Stay With Me Baby." Also nominated for "Stay With Me Baby" is her producer, Stephan Galfas and Rosen Nedelchev for Producer(s) of the Year.

Jana's passionate rendition of "Stay With Me Baby" gives a string of moody and delicious vocal nuances paying homage to this much beloved song. Her breakout live performance of this song at previous NAMMYS brought the house down and did not disappoint. Jana will be performing again at this year's NAMMYS along with special guests.

Founded in 1998, the Native American Music Awards is "Devoted to Bringing Indigenous Music and Artists to the World's Consciousness" (NY Times). The Awards recognize music created by artists with Native American heritage in every genre including Pop, Rock, RnB, Hip Hop, Folk, Traditional and World. Jana's heritage is Lumbee and Tuscarora.
