Suga Bush Returns To Rock The Legendary Blue Note Jazz Club

Danni Gee along with her band, Suga Bush, Performs at the Blue Note Jazz Club "Late Night Groove Series" on Saturday, April 20th, in Greenwich Village, New York City. Frontwoman Danni Gee has the energy and tenacity that has catapulted her from her western Philadelphia youth choir to fronting her own New York City-based band, Suga Bush.

After cutting her teeth singing support vocals for artists like Sister Sledge, Disco Diva Gloria Gaynor, and the iconic Cher, she decided to step out on her own, and Suga Bush was born.

Boasting a unique fusion of electric rock and soul, Suga Bush generated buzz with its early live recordings. Within months of its debut, the band was mentioned in Billboard Magazine and was featured alongside Jill Scott in the launch of Billboard's offshoot website, Promosquad. The band released its debut full-length, A Love Odyssey, to great acclaim in 2005.

Suga Bush has performed in popular New York City venues like Crash Mansion, The Cutting Room, Arlene's Grocery, The Bitter End, and The Apollo Theater. The band is currently in the process of producing its second full-length album, to be released this summer on the independent Earthdriver label.
