An Evening with Saxophonist Brandon Primus and Friends

98 bottles San Diego presents, saxophonist Brandon Primus and Friends on Sunday, February 17, 2013, doors open at 6:00 p.m. show starts at 7:00 p.m.98 bottles known for their great entertainment venue is the perfect setting to experience this contemporary jazz, funk, and R&B sounding artist on stage.

As part of an evening of entertainment Saxophonist Brandon Primus, will perform various genres of jazz mixed with funk and R&B music. He is an instrumentalist, playing the piano, keyboards, as well as a composer, and creative arranger. The manner and flow of his music is heavily influenced by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Jazz musician Miles Davis and other notable artists such as John Coltrane, Grover Washington, Jr., and Kenny G. His musical style is a hybrid of Jazz, Soul, Funk, Hip Hop and R&B. Basically a historical culmination of styles pioneered by legends of jazz.

Primus is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA and a former "Showtime at the Apollo" winning saxophonist. He has shared the stage with renowned artists Rashaan Patterson, Jody Watley, Jeffrey Osborne, Eric Roberson, and has performed at BB King's Jazz and Blues Night Club in Times Square and at the Birchmere Music Hall in Alexandria, VA. More local artists are slated to be featured for this special night of music with some of the hottest musicians around.
