The Persuasions Croon Classic Soul From the ’60s and ’70s

A cappella's elite luminaries, The Persuasions will perform classic soul hits at Big Arts Saturday, February 5, at 8 p.m. Big Arts Schein Performance Hall is located at 900 Dunlop Road, Sanibel.

The Persuasions are the undisputed heavyweight champions of a cappella—original, gritty, streetwise, and innovative. Since they started singing on the stoops of Brooklyn in 1961, The Persuasions have released 18 albums and have recorded or performed with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Van Morrison, and B.B. King. They plan to perform their crowd-pleasing medleys of Temptations, Four Tops, and Drifters songs. They will also bring other sounds from the '60s and '70s, such as Dock of the Bay by Otis Redding, In the Ghetto by Elvis, Ain't No Sunshine by Bill Withers, and She's A Lady by Tom Jones.

The Persuasions Sponsor Bailey's General Store and John Grey Painting.
