Denver Artist Improv in the Top 10 for 93.3 KTCL's Hometown

Improv's "Miss Hedonist" has been selected as one of the Top 10 in 93.3 KTCL's Hometown for the Holidays. This is the same program that has helped many local musicians receive national attention, and he shares the excitement with his fans to hear Miss Hedonist on 93.3 KTCL starting today through Wednesday, December 17th. Improv has been a driving force in the Colorado music scene for years, and is honored to be part of Hometown for the Holidays this year.

Improv will nationally release his debut album Omotion on January 20, 2009, bringing more change than expected. The sound of the album hits many spectrums and emotions, with songs stemming from a blues-driven area of hip-hop, to classic funky hip-hop, to a "trilogy" track (Demons). The majority of the album was produced, written, recorded, and mixed entirely by Improv. An album release party is slated for Saturday, January 31, at Hodi's Half Note in Fort Collins, CO.

In November 2008, Improv won the regional Scribble Jam Production Battle and went on to compete in the finals. He has produced for numerous artists, performed on stages across the state, and has headlined multiple shows. Omotion tour dates are TBD.

About Improv
Improv is a performer, producer and poet. He is on an uncompromising quest to connect with the hearts and minds of music lovers, mixing professional production with intricate, insightful words and crowd-moving stage performances.

Since relocating to Denver to further his career, and the release of "Grace" in 2006, Improv has truly dedicated his life to music. He has been performing, producing and pouring his heart and soul into his first full-length album, "Omotion".

Improv has been headlining shows from Northern to Southern Colorado, and has opened for numerous national performers; The Flobots, Zion I, and Dialated Peoples to name a few. He is constantly perfecting his live set, attempting to surpass each of his performances, which include two consecutive invitations to "Bohemian Nights at New West Fest" in Fort Collins and gracing the historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Production for Improv has taken a huge step forward; producing for numerous Colorado artists, including national artist AMB, while directly contributing to the children's hip-hop group "The Littleague." In October, he represented Colorado in Cincinnati, after winning the 2008 Regional Scribble Jam Production Battle in Boulder.

After living the emotional roller coaster life of a musician, always honing his many musical, lyrical, and production skills, Improv has completed Omotion – an album that has fans in awe of the work and craftsmanship put into it. Omotion expresses Improv's admiration of turntablism and b-boys, and gives thanks to all those who have influenced, loved and supported him through the years. Improv now shares Omotion with the world.
