Children Can Now Experience the Mood of Cool Music
Still Motion Media, the leading developer and distributor of MobiStories, digital books for kids, today announced that it executed a three-book deal with Andy Blackman Hurwitz, co-founder of Baby Loves Everything. The launch date of these books was October 22, 2008.
Under this agreement, Still Motion Media produced MobiStories of two Baby Loves Jazz books including "Ella Elephant" and "Miles the Crocodile, " and one from Baby Loves Salsa, "Salsa for Kittens and Puppies." Rick Toone, creative director of Still Motion Media, commented, "These books perfectly fit the MobiStories format. They are both entertaining and educational. Now, with permission from the author, everyone can experience the Salsa MobiStory for free on the mobistories.com Website." The Baby Loves Jazz CD was named the gold medal winner for "best children's recording of 2007" by the national association of parenting publications as well as the American Librarian's Association's award for "most notable children's recording of 2006."
All the "Baby Loves" books combine a specific genre of music played by professional musicians with a clever children's story. Parent will also enjoy the audio track of each story on an entirely different level making these stories wonderful for the entire family.
Created by music industry veteran Andy Blackman Hurwitz, Baby Loves Music began as a way for parents to introduce their children to different genres without oversimplifying the content or presentation; it's real music played by real musicians. According to Hurwitz, "I merged my two worlds of at-home-dad by day and music-industry guy by night and the result was baby loves music. The kids are going to love the music but the not-so-secret-secret here is that mommy and daddy are going to love it too. The baby loves band is made up of some of the finest musicians in the world including Sharon Jones, John Medeski, Steven Bernstein, Babi Floyd, John Ellis, Aaron Goldberg, Omer Avital, Ali Jackson, Miles Griffith and many more."
Mr. Hurwitz is also founder of independent record label, Ropeadope. While that company still produces some CDs, most of its distribution is through digital downloads. "This business model mirrors that of Still Motion Media, " said Mr. Toone. "MobiStories are primarily released as downloads to computer, iPhone, iTouch, PSP, and other digital devices with some DVDs in production, " he continued.
