Born in the city known as the 'originator' of jazz music, Breggett Rideau not only transitioned her life to DFW many, many years ago, but she also brought along with her the essence of real world jazz coupled with a vocal range and flare that has firmly established her as one of the leading female vocalists in the metroplex. As the first woman of color from the United States to lecture and perform at the Shanghai Conservatory in Shanghai China, Breggett has stayed true to her soulful roots as a jazz purist and has worked diligently to preserve the richness of the jazz sound through her music circuit.

A tireless live performer, Breggett is a fan-favorite at many well-known music haunts throughout the metroplex and has welcomed eager audiences at such venues as Brooklyn Jazz Café, Ovations, The Dallas Museum of Art, Kirby's, McKinney Arts Festival to name a few.
