O.A.R. To Perform Live at DeepRockDrive

DeepRockDrive, the world's first interactive online concert venue, today announced Everfine/ Atlantic recording group O.A.R. will be the next major artist signed on to perform at the Pepsi Free Concert Series at DeepRockDrive.

The June 16th performance will be the first opportunity for O.A.R. fans globally to interact with the band in anticipation of their July 15th release, All Sides, and the 36-date "All Sides Tour" this summer. O.A.R. will perform their single, "Shattered, " from their forthcoming album for the first time live, giving the audience an exclusive front row experience unlike any other.

O.A.R., which includes band members Marc Roberge (vocals, electric & acoustic guitar), Richard On (electric guitar & background vocals), Jerry DePizzo (saxophone), Benj Gershman (bass), and Chris Culos (drums) holds the dubious pleasure of selling out New York City's famed Madison Square Garden - twice, captured in concert on 2007's 2-CD set, Live From Madison Square Garden, as well as a two-disc DVD package, with the same name. All Sides is O.A.R.'s first new studio album since 2005's popular breakthrough, Stories Of A Stranger, which included the band's hit singles "Love and Memories, " and "Heard The World."

"Performing at DeepRockDrive will allow us to bring new and old songs to people wherever they may be, " said Marc Roberge. "That's the beauty of this show, communicating with an audience that is spread throughout the world. All from Vegas, how can you beat that?"

Presented by Pepsi, the global, free concert will feature interaction between fans and artists using the revolutionary service that DeepRockDrive has created.

By logging on to http://www.deeprockdrive.com/event/5473/o.a.r. O.A.R. fans around the world will experience a live, online, interactive exchange between themselves and O.A.R.. Fans can collaborate with the band by sending shout outs to the stage, voting on the next song in the set, personalizing camera angle selections and sending digital applause in the form of emot-applause(TM), which are video game-like icons, such as hearts, fists, and lips that blow a kiss. These animated icons will appear on giant screens in front of O.A.R. while they perform.

Thanks to the support of Pepsi, O.A.R.'s concert will be presented free of charge, bringing a front row seat to their fans anywhere in the world and wherever a broadband connection is available. The series reinforces DeepRockDrive's prominence as the world's most popular destination for online, interactive concerts.
